The group set out to find ways to strengthen legislation passed in 2014 while championing multiple bills pending at the state Capitol this year. Members of the task force on Tuesday also underscored further disparities in pay between white women and women of color.
The group unveiled its report on International Women's Day – and
did so just after a group of activists and lawmakers that included Minnesota
Lynx Coach and GM Cheryl Reeve dropped off petitions urging the
Minnesota Senate to pass legislation that would allow voters to consider adding
an Equal Rights Amendment to the Minnesota Constitution.
