As marijuana legalization
grows, state-by-state, more and more financial considerations arise.
Given the ever-evolving nature of the cannabis industry, it is
important that any cannabis-related business or anyone supporting or
financing a related business stay on top of the latest financial and
tax implications of the industry.
Join us for a one-hour
webinar featuring subject matter expert, Franklin G.
Snyder, Professor of Law at Texas A&M University School of
Law. Professor Snyder will cover the following topics:
- Internal
Governance (covering common issues in governance such as the lack
of governance procedures, lack of transparency as well as best
practices)
- Tax
(including a discussion of IRC Section 280E as well as recent case
law)
- Banking
and Finance (Discussion of the Financial Crimes Enforcement
Network’s Guidance on banking and reporting requirements as well
as the “red flags” that may indicate that a business may be
engaged in activity that violates state law.
