Tracking Variants and Viruses


The trend continues: BA.5 remained the dominant variant of cases nationwide by far in the week ending Sept. 10, followed by BA.4.6 and BA.4.

  • The dominant variant: BA.5 (84.8% of US cases)
  • Other variants: BA.4.6 (10.3%), BA.4 (1.8%)
