A better treatment for diabetic wounds showed promise

Why it matters: Diabetes can slow down the process of new tissue forming to heal wounds, leading to potentially dangerous infections. But a new class of polymer discovered by researchers at the University of Nottingham could make the healing process faster. One researcher involved with the study said it could be "transformative for patients whose current treatment often involves repeated treatments."
