AAP reports downward trend in pediatric COVID-19
cases
A report from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the
Children's Hospital Association showed just over 140,000 new pediatric COVID-19
cases for the week ending Jan. 28, down from the previous week's 165,000 cases
and from the record high of 211,000 cases two weeks earlier. Total diagnosed
pediatric cases for the pandemic have reached 2.81 million, which is 12.8% of
all reported COVID-19 cases in 49 states, excluding New York, as well as the
District of Columbia, New York City, Puerto Rico and Guam, the groups noted.
