Survey shows chronic pain more common in younger
adults
A 2,063-person survey conducted by The Harris Poll indicates that
chronic pain is more prevalent among younger adults than it is in older adults.
Results showed that 65% of patients ages 18 to 34 reported chronic pain
compared to 52% of those age 35 and up, and 75% of all respondents were unsure
what type of health care professional to approach for help with their chronic
pain.
