Studies reveal health disparities between sexual and gender minority (SGM) adults and non-SGMs adults are potential risk factors for cognitive decline and the future progression of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia. SGM adults face higher rates of chronic health diseases (cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes) and depression than non-SGM adults. This study described the prevalence of subjective cognitive decline among SGM middle-aged and older adults and determined if differences in prevalence rates were linked to differences in demographics, chronic health conditions, functional limitations, physical unhealthy days, and depression.
