CMS last week approved South Carolina's request to...
...add a work requirement to its
Medicaid program. The state notably has not expanded Medicaid, and will be the
first state to attempt imposing the restrictions, which will require at least
80 hours of work or another community engagement activity per month, onto
parents with incomes under 100% of the federal poverty line. South Carolina
currently serves 1,247,716 Medicaid beneficiaries.
