Virginia is the fifth state in recent weeks to...

...suspend plans for a Medicaid work requirement program, just over a month after Democrats gained full control of the state's legislature. The work requirements were originally a condition of lawmakers' bipartisan decision to expand Medicaid in the state. Virginia currently serves 1,082,322 Medicaid beneficiaries, a 13.4% increase from November 2018.
