Southeast Michigan's Beaumont Health and Akron, Ohio's Summa Health have delayed their plans...
...to merge amid the COVID-19
pandemic. Summa Health, a four-hospital system, was set to become a subsidiary
of Beaumont, which currently runs eight hospitals. Summa's health insurance
division, SummaCare, currently enrolls 62,719 members. It's unclear how long
the deal will be on hold.
