...acquisition of Beacon Health Options, one of the largest independent providers of behavioral health services in the U.S. As of December 2019, Beacon was contracted to serve more than 30 payer clients, which enroll about 11.5 million medical lives overall. Anthem currently operates its own behavioral health unit, Anthem Behavioral Health, to serve most of its 32.6 million lives.
