Oscar Health last week unveiled an initiative to...
...cap the cost of about 100 common
drugs — including high-priced insulin — at $3 per month. The new formulary
became available to the insurer's individual members on Jan. 1, 2020. Oscar's
pharma VP, Vinod Mitta, M.D, said in a press release that the 100 drugs
"represent 90% of the use cases that somebody might need a prescription
for." Oscar currently enrolls about 217,000 individual members in seven
states.
