Recent reports have raised concerns that...
...Massachusetts' 1115
demonstration waiver request for its managed Medicaid program, MassHealth, may
be denied. Drug prices have risen considerably over the past several years,
along with the state's Medicaid population, which has grown 32.5% from 2012 to
2018. CMS officials reportedly fear pharmaceutical companies would sue the
federal government if the waiver, which would allow the state to create its own
drug formulary and negotiate rebates, is approved.
