...the University of North Carolina, says Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina’s value-based care initiative, Blue Premier, saved one of its provider networks $40 million in 2020 alone. The provider group, UNC Health Alliance, also earned a 100% quality score from the program for the second year in a row. BCBS NC is currently the largest insurer in the state, serving 2,875,542 members, 31.2% of the insured population.
