With Thanksgiving in our rear-view mirror and other holiday
celebrations coming up, you're likely wondering how this will affect travel
plans for you or your family.
Many countries have put new travel
restrictions in place due to the rise of the Omicron variant.
Here are some of the new restrictions:
- The United States this week
restricted travel from South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho,
Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, and Zimbabwe.
- The European Union put a
temporary ban on air travel from Botswana, Eswatini, South Africa,
Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, and Lesotho.
- Japan announced this week it
will not allow foreign travelers to enter the country.
Morocco is blocking all travelers, even Moroccan citizens, from entering the country for two weeks.
