Virtual Claims Clinic: December 1-3

 

The Nebraska Department of Veterans Affairs (NDVA) in conjunction with the Veterans Affairs Regional Office in Lincoln, NE will be conducting a Virtual Claims Clinic from December 1-3. The intent of the Virtual Claims Clinic is to provide faster benefits to veterans through problem solving and claim reviews. Specifically, if you have a pending claim that falls under one of the following categories, please contact your local County Veterans Service Officer or contact the NDVA State Service Office at (402) 420-4021.

 

Claims that can be reviewed during the Virtual Claims Clinic by the VA:

  • Claims in which you have not received any notification from the VA in over
    125 days
  • Claims that an exam has been requested but has not been scheduled longer than 60 days
  • Claims that have been deferred per the documentation received from the VA
  • Dependency claims that have not had action taken
  • Pension or burial claims that are pending

 

Claims that will not be reviewed during the Virtual Claims Clinic by the VA:

  • Original Claims (New)
  • Blue-Water Navy Claims
  • Appeals
  • Claims that are pending private medical records

 

If you are unsure if your claims meets the eligibility requirements of the Virtual Claims Clinic, please contact your local County Veterans Service Officer (CVSO) or contact the NDVA State Service Office. They will be able to assist in determining if your claim can be forwarded to the Veterans Affairs office for immediate review.
