In a lame-duck session, Wisconsin's state legislature passed...
...a bill protecting the state's planned Medicaid work
requirements, which will affect about 178,000 of Wisconsin's 934,851 Medicaid
beneficiaries. Governor-elect Tony Evers (D) said he planned to block the
Medicaid changes from going into effect, but the bill also requires new
legislative oversight to make any new changes to health care. Other pending
legislation would also stop Evers from withdrawing the state from a lawsuit
challenging the Affordable Care Act.
