New: 2020 Alzheimer's Disease and Healthy Aging Data Portal

The Alzheimer’s Disease and Healthy Aging Data Portal provides national, regional, and state data on older adults. The Portal allows users to examine data on key indicators of health and well-being for older Americans, including caregiving and cognitive decline, by age group, gender, and race/ethnicity.

The Portal was updated with 2020 BRFSS data, including data on cognitive decline for 2015-2020 from 50 states and data on caregivers for 2015-2020 from 44 states. Portal users can retrieve CDC data by indicator or geographic area and use the data to develop reports and create customized maps, charts, and graphics.

Public health professionals can use the data to create a snapshot of the health of older adults in their states, which can help them prioritize and evaluate public health interventions.

Webinar: Public Health and Faith

Wednesday, June 8, 2022 | 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. (EST)

Many faith-based organizations (FBOs) provide dementia awareness and education programs, resources, and support for community members with dementia, their families, and caregivers. FBOs can be a key partner for public health agencies to reach and support more people living with dementia and their caregivers. The first installment of this webinar series will provide an overview of the role of FBOs in dementia and caregiving work and share practical recommendations for public health agencies that partner with FBOs.
