From the story: Thousands of sun-starved Americans from the Jersey shore to Southern
California hit the sand and surf over the Memorial Day weekend after
months of being quarantined in their homes in what is the first major test of
the country reopening amid the ongoing public health crisis (Fox News).
From the Wall Street Journal: The state
lockdowns are starting to ease and the U.S. economy should slowly begin to
recover. But it’s worth noting that the states opening most slowly are big
states run by Democrats that represent something like a third of the U.S.
economy. This means a slower recovery for those states and the U.S.
(WSJ).
A number of people have been aghast over
a semi-crowded public pool (Red State).
Meanwhile, as the exact
numbers differ, several sights show Monday’s death toll the lowest on any
single day since March (OurWorldinData, Worldometers)
