Webinar 10/2:
Medicare for People with Paralysis
The Center for Medicare Advocacy is partnering with the
Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation to present the upcoming webinar: Medicare for People with Paralysis
on October 2, 2019, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. The foundation manages ACL's
Paralysis Resource Center.
Understanding Medicare is important to those who currently
qualify for health coverage through Medicare, or may qualify in the future.
This webinar includes information on eligibility, enrollment, and coverage
- with a special emphasis on home health care and durable medical equipment
including related laws, regulations, policies, and practical tips to assist
people living with paralysis to access home- and community-based Medicare
coverage. We will also discuss important factors in choosing between traditional
Medicare and Medicare Advantage.
Presented by Center for Medicare Advocacy Executive Director,
Attorney Judith Stein, and Associate Director, Attorney Kathy Holt.

ACL funds the Paralysis
Resource Center to provide comprehensive information for
people living with spinal cord injury, paralysis and mobility-related
disabilities and their support networks. Resources include information and
referral by phone and email in multiple languages including Spanish; a peer
and family support mentoring program; a military and veterans program;
multicultural outreach services; quality of life grants; and a national
website.
