Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the Calendar Year (CY) 2021 Hospice Capitation Ratebook and Actuarial Methodology, finalizing the CY 2021 hospice capitation rate development methodology under the hospice benefit component of the CMS Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation Value-Based Insurance Design (VBID) Model. The final CY 2021 Hospice Capitation Actuarial Methodology includes (i) technical adjustments due to stakeholder comments and (ii) final adjustment factors.
