Human faces lost their symmetry due to aging

Why it matters: Research indicates that human faces actually can change in shape and symmetry with age. A plastic surgeon in Massachusetts used three-dimensional photography to create detailed images of faces from age 4 months to 88 years, then calculated facial symmetry, which could lead to a better understanding of physical aging and how plastic surgery should be performed.
