Clinical guidance focuses on pediatric long COVID

The American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation has
issued new clinical guidance that focuses on mitigating symptoms and
encouraging a multidisciplinary approach among children presenting with long
COVID symptoms, especially those related to physical fatigue, postexertional
malaise and autonomic dysfunction. Separate guidance was issued for individuals
experiencing autonomic dysfunction from long COVID to help clinicians
differentiate between postviral autonomic symptoms and underlying
cardiovascular issues.
