Women Across Maternal Child Health Services in Nampula, Mozambique
Repeat HIV testing during pregnancy and breastfeeding identifies
women with incident infections, those living with HIV who have been lost to
care, and infants at risk for HIV infection. This study reports data from
repeat testing for women in maternal and child health services at 10 health
facilities in Mozambique.

Variation in State-Level Mammography Use, 2012
and 2020
Mammography is a screening tool for early detection of breast
cancer. Uptake in screening use in states can be influenced by Medicaid
coverage and eligibility policies, public health outreach efforts, and the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-funded National Breast and
Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. This report describes
state-specific mammography use in 2020 and changes as compared with 2012.
Uptake and Continuation of HIV Pre-Exposure
Prophylaxis Among Women of Reproductive Age in Two Health Facilities in
Kisumu County, Kenya
In 2020, Kenya had 19,000 new HIV infections among women aged 15+
years. Studies have shown sub-optimal oral pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP)
use among sub-populations of women. This study assesses the uptake and
continuation of oral PrEP among women aged 15-49 years in two health
facilities in Kisumu County, Kenya.
Occupational Safety and Health of Women in Mining
Throughout its history, mining has been a male-dominated industry.
Recent estimates indicate that between 10% and 17% of miners are women. The
purpose of this article is to describe the specific occupational safety and
health (OSH) challenges women as miners face and to discuss how the
National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health's Mining Program is
situated to address these challenges through its Mining Program Strategic
Plan.
