Blunts ACA Preventive Care Coverage Mandate

A Texas
federal judge on Thursday blocked the U.S. government from enforcing an
Affordable Care Act provision requiring insurance coverage for many preventive
treatments — including cancer and diabetes screenings, as well as pregnancy and
postpartum care — expanding an earlier decision that said requiring coverage of
HIV care flouted a religious employer's rights.
