Sanofi last week released...

...phase three trial data for its drug Sarclisa that could give it an edge in the crowded multiple myeloma market. The data showed that Sarclisa’s use in combination with carfilzomib and dexamethasone decreased disease progression and death in patients with relapsed multiple myeloma, compared to the use of carfilzomib and dexamethasone alone. Sarclisa, which the FDA approved in March for use in relapsed refractory myeloma patients, holds preferred status for less than 1% of covered lives under the pharmacy benefit, and is not covered or not yet listed for 73% of insured lives.
