Aetna last week said its Texas
Medicaid subsidiary, Aetna Better Health of Texas, was awarded a new STAR Kids
contract to serve members in the state's seven-county Dallas service area. As
of January 2020, the Star KIDS program provided health coverage to 155,071
Texans with disabilities aged 20 and younger. Aetna currently serves 4,407 STAR
Kids members in the Fort Worth area, and 81,486 Texas Medicaid beneficiaries
overall.
