Michigan’s state Senate recently passed a bill...
...that would require the
state to request Medicaid work requirements from CMS. The proposed requirements
are among the strictest in the nation, with a 116-hour-per-month work
requirement, rather than the typical 80. The Center on Budget and Policy
Priorities estimates 6.46% of Michigan’s 2,320,813 Medicaid beneficiaries could
lose coverage under this policy.
