Actuarial has recently received a multitude of inquiries regarding the level of
2019 Medicare Supplement new business rate increases relative to previous
years. The chart below shows the overall Medicare Supplement average new
business rate increases by effective month from January 2015 through May 2019,
based on information gathered by CSG Actuarial as of today. To date, the
average rate increase amounts by month for 2019 are pretty consistent with the
past couple of years.
