Photographer Tom Fox captures religious leader’s effort to stay connected with congregation

A Dallas Morning News outtake:

Church leaders throughout the Dallas area have sought to keep a spiritual thread to their church communities during the coronavirus crisis, while maintaining the intimacy that unites them at an in-person worship service.

Working off a tip from Dallas Morning News photo editor Irwin Thompson, we followed up with a local congregation that was printing photos of its members and attaching them to church pews so their clergy felt a sense of connection to their faith family when broadcasting their services live on YouTube.

At St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Frisco, Community Life director Brandi White has been filling the sanctuary with photos of familiar faces. I went out to the church earlier this week to photograph this effort.
