The perfect webinar to do with your COI network

Grant Hicks, CIM

The perfect webinar to do with your COI network
Some financial advisors are struggling to plan their business future, while others are already ahead of the curve. How can you be confident in your practice future? Become a future-ready financial advisor and move your practice, your clients, and your team forward with confidence. How?
Start with delivering your first webinar
If you have not delivered a webinar before, summertime is the perfect time to practice delivering webinars to clients, prospects, and especially centers of influence. That’s right, practice delivering a few webinars, getting your technology right and taking your practice towards the future.
Technology tools you will need
First off, always check with your firm, your compliance department, and your technology expert before proceeding on any new technology. Second, here is the technology stack you will need.
___ Webinar software such as Zoom webinar, Webinar jam or Gotowebinar
___ Video meeting software such as Zoom, GoToMeeting, Microsoft Teams or similar
___ Appointment software such a Timetrade, Calendly or similar
___ Engagement software such as the” Willing Wisdom” – Estate planning probability checklist http://tinyurl.com/yxnvxcda
___ Client, prospect, and COI communication database software such as your CRM software that can send emails or Getresponse, Mailchimp, Constant Contact or similar email software for great templates
____ Social media management software such as buffer, Hootsuite or Advisorstream or similar
___ Powerpoint or similar presentation software such as Keynote or similar

Ready for the future
Invite, engage, present, and follow up. Now you need to have a process to do it online. The only way is to do it once and see how easy it is. Imagine if you have perfected webinars and now you ask your COI’s to invite their clients to a joint webinar with their clients. You ask your accountant to invite their top business owners to a succession and transition webinar. They invite 25 people ( you can supply the sample email) The lawyer also invites their top 25 business owners. The commercial realtor also invites their top 25 business owners. Finally, the commercial insurance agent invites their top 25 business owners. You invite your top 25. Together you now have a cross-section database of 125, where each participant gets to potentially be introduced to 100 new people. Fusion marketing at work!
Imagine getting introduced to ideal successful business owners?
Using your webinar software, you introduce the concept to your network of professionals and together you deliver tremendous value to business owners, each offering a guide or checklist for business owners on how they can be more confident of their business future! Be the catalyst. Start with inviting COI’s to your webinars, and show them how much of an expert you are at delivering webinars. Then ask them about delivering a joint webinar. Now is the perfect time to get to business owners, because they are more receptive than ever in preparing for their future.
Join me and Tom Deans PH. D in a webinar this week, as we will discuss what a succession plan looks like for business owners. If business owners have never seen a succession or transition plan, why would they want one? Show them a sample succession and transition plan to engage them.
