Administration mulls expanding Medicare eligibility
The Biden administration and Democratic lawmakers are likely to
include major health care initiatives in a proposed spending plan expected to
be unveiled next month, according to sources. Among the possible inclusions are
a proposal to lower the Medicare eligibility age from 65 to 60 and a provision
that would allow the federal government to negotiate Medicare drug prices,
lawmakers said.
