MA plans offer higher savings than traditional
Medicare
A report from the Better Medicare Alliance found that Medicare
Advantage beneficiaries save $1,640 per year on out-of-pocket and premium
costs, compared with traditional Medicare beneficiaries. Individuals earning
below 200% of the federal poverty level account for 52% of MA beneficiaries
compared with 39.1% of Medicare fee-for-service recipients, according to the
report.
