VLB Land Sales Resume

Looking to purchase your own piece of Texas? For over 70 years, the Veterans Land Board (VLB) has helped Veterans find their dream homes though its unique home and land loans programs. In fact, Texas is the only state that has a Land Board exclusively for Veterans making the Lone Star State an exceptional place for Veterans to settle down after military service.

We are excited to announce that the land sale program is returning. The first event for 2022 is scheduled to begin on March 7 with bidding closing out on April 25. For updates and for available tracts of land, Veterans can sign up for the newsletter as well as keep an eye out on our website.

Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery to Host its 100th Unaccompanied Burial

The VLB invites communities around Central Texas to honor the life and military service of U.S. Army Veteran Billy Noel Myrick.

PFC Myrick served his country with honor and is scheduled to be buried with military honors on March 3 at 11am SHARP at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. He is not expected to have next-of-kin available and the VLB is working with its military community members to ensure this Texas Veteran is not laid to rest alone.
