White House outlines path for COVID-19 preparedness
President Joe Biden's National COVID-19 Preparedness Plan focuses
on treatment, preparing for new variants, continuing vaccinations, and keeping
businesses and schools open, according to White House pandemic response
coordinator Jeff Zients. The plan includes access to one-stop testing and
antiviral treatment, access to additional at-home COVID-19 tests and
vaccination of young children if a vaccine is authorized for children under age
5.
