In
2002, Benefits.gov was founded as the official benefits website of the U.S
government. Our website was created to make it easier to find information on
government benefits in one place. For 20 years, we have helped millions of
people find benefit programs they may be eligible for, and how to apply.

Since 2002,
Benefits.gov has improved access to benefit information and eligibility
requirements to help citizens find government assistance. We understand that
navigating benefit information can be confusing, and that you may have
questions that need answers fast. We have listened to your feedback and
recently developed a new self-service help tool called a “chatbot.” |

was launched by the U.S. Department of Labor in April 2002, creating the U.S.
government’s official benefits website. Our mission is to increase citizen
