I was driving home from work one day back
when I was working in the real estate industry.
Working 16-hour days, depressed and simply
hated my life.
I never used to smile at all. It was poker
face all day every day.
One day I got sick and tired of feeling
like this all the time and decided to change my daily habits to see if it would
get me out of this funk I was in.
The first habit I adapted was smiling.
Again, I rarely smiled.
I forced myself to smile to and from work
which ended up being like an hour a day.
This was a game changer! It was awkward
and uncomfortable and I did not want to do it but I read in an article
somewhere about the science behind it.
Smiling actually released endorphins which
allowed me to become naturally happier no matter the circumstance I was in.
This was ONE of 30 habits I used to pull
myself out of deep depression and continue to use daily to change my mindset,
build resilience and wake up happy every single day.
You are in full control of your actions.
Your daily actions take part in controlling your mindset.
