Celebrate 1 year of “Live to the Beat” this American Heart Month

“Live to the Beat” has benefited hearts across the nation.

This American Heart Month, we celebrate the first year of the national “Live to the Beat” campaign. We are honored to have your support in educating, equipping, and empowering Black adults ages 35–54 with information, resources, and messages on heart health to help them reduce their risk of heart attacks, strokes, and other cardiovascular events.

Together, we have made a significant impact:

  • Published culturally relevant content and produced more than 407 million impressions within the first 8 months.
  • Generated more than 5.3 million impressions from webisodes with Kevin “KevOnStage” Fredericks, discussing heart health topics with medical professionals and everyday people.
  • Nominated by PRWeek for the PRWeek Purpose Awards in the Best Health Campaign category.

Million Hearts® invites local leaders and organizations that engage the Black community to connect with the “Live to the Beat” Community Ambassadors Network. Become a Community Ambassador and get free materials and resources to promote heart health.

With heartfelt thanks to our incredible Million Hearts® team and valued partners.

Yours in health,

Laurence Sperling, MD, FACC, FACP, FAHA, FASPC
