More than 400,000 Minnesotans benefited when Congress passed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act in March 2020, which bumped up federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to low-income individuals and families. That $1.3 billion boost to Minnesotans' SNAP benefits is ending at a time when inflation has caused the price of groceries to soar, leaving many Minnesotans to figure out how to feed their families with less.
