View in browser Enrolling in 2018  SHOP Coverage Considering enrolling in Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) health and/or dental coverage for 2018? Here are a few things to know about signing up for a SHOP plan that starts on or after January 1, 2018: You will work with your insurance company or a SHOP-registered agent or broker to apply for and enroll in SHOP health and/or dental insurance. You will use HealthCare.gov to verify your eligibility to purchase SHOP insurance, but you won’t need to create a HealthCare.gov account to enroll in health and/or dental coverage. You can find lots of helpful resources on HealthCare.gov and explore the SHOP plans available in your area. You will pay your premiums to your insurance company, not to SHOP or on HealthCare.gov. If you are enrolling in SHOP insurance for the first time or have experienced a gap in SHOP insurance, you will still use HealthCare.gov to verify your eligibility to purchase SHOP insurance. Use the Find Local Help tool to find SHOP-registered agents and brokers near you who can help you apply, pick a plan, and enroll in SHOP coverage.
