CMS recently rejected Kansas's request...
...to implement lifetime
coverage limits in its Medicaid program. Under this proposal, all of the
state's "able-bodied" adult members, with some exemptions, would have
been subject to a 36-month maximum coverage limit. Kansas currently covers
414,099 people through its Medicaid program. The rest of the state's proposal,
which includes work requirements, is still under consideration.
