Advantage Value-Based Insurance Design Model - Year One Evaluation Findings

The Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMS Innovation Center)
is hosting a webinar Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 12:15 p.m. EST, which
will provide an overview of the evaluation findings from Model Year One of
the Value-Based Insurance Design (VBID) Model. Through the VBID Model, CMS is
testing a broad array of complementary Medicare Advantage health plan
innovations designed to reduce Medicare program expenditures, enhance the
quality of care for Medicare beneficiaries, including those with low incomes
such as dual-eligibles, and improve the coordination and efficiency of health
care service delivery. The VBID Model contributes to the modernization of
Medicare Advantage and tests whether these model components improve health
outcomes and lower expenditures for Medicare Advantage enrollees.During the webinar, CMS subject matter experts and the VBID evaluation team will provide a description of the VBID model benefit designs and targeted conditions from the 2017 VBID model participants, as well as early implementation and participation of Parent Organizations (POs) and beneficiaries.
