high out-of-pocket costs of diabetes management, Eli Lilly & Co. announced
this week it will offer a generic of Humalog, its popular insulin, at half the
cost of the brand name. The generic's list price will be $137.35 for a vial,
and $265.20 for five injectable pens. Humalog is offered on the preferred tier
for 54% of all covered lives.
