Oscar Health has tapped former Uber executive
Meghan Joyce to serve as its COO, according to CNBC.
As COO, Ms. Joyce will help the insurer expand
its tech-enabled services and personal health coaching teams into dozens of new
healthcare insurance markets throughout 2020. Next year, Oscar Health has its
eyes on entering the Medicare Advantage market.
"I never thought I would land in
healthcare," Ms. Joyce told CNBC.
Ms. Joyce is stepping into the COO role after
it has been vacant for three years. She left Uber in April, about a month
before the ride sharing company went public.
Oscar Health is moving into the Medicare
market with $375 million in funding from Google Ventures.
