Startup insurer Bright Health is set to expand into...
...the California Medicare
Advantage market with its planned acquisition of Orange County-based Universal
Care, Inc., which operates the MA plan Brand New Day. Brand New Day currently
serves 41,103 MA members in California, including 1,790 Medicare-Medicaid dual
eligibles. The deal will boost Bright Health's total membership by 68.4%, to
more than 100,000 lives.
