"Teacherless" classrooms became a thing

Why it matters: Teachers in some schools are continuing to teach online while their students convene in the classroom. The model, which often includes a proctor or substitute to assist in person, is being adopted in cases where teachers are immunocompromised. Experts say this could be an option for students without at-home internet or when parents are not available to assist with remote learning.
