Today, the Centers
for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the June 2020 monthly
report on state Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
eligibility and enrollment data. This data reflects a range of indicators
related to key application, eligibility, and enrollment processes within
the state Medicaid and CHIP agencies.
In addition, CMS posted an enrollment trends snapshot. The snapshot shows
that from February 2020, the month before the President declared a national
public health emergency under the Stafford Act, to June 2020, national
Medicaid and CHIP enrollment increased by over 4 million, or almost 5.7
percent.
