The first COVID-19 vaccine in the US for children ages 5 to 11
is one step closer to being available.
An advisory panel to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on
Tuesday recommended
the vaccine in a unanimous vote. The final decision sits with CDC Director
Rochelle Walensky, and it could come as soon as tonight.
The kids' vaccine contains one-third the amount of active ingredient as the
vaccine authorized for adolescents and adults.
