Administration requests money for pandemic, Ukraine aid
The Biden administration has asked Congress to provide an
additional $22.5 billion in funding for COVID-19 testing, vaccination and
treatment programs as well as for vaccine research, and $10 billion for
humanitarian, security and economic aid in and around Ukraine, a White House
official said. The White House requested that the funds be added to a budget
plan being crafted by lawmakers ahead of a March 11 deadline.
