Civica to roll out cheaper insulin products by 2024
Nonprofit drug manufacturer Civica plans to release biosimilar
versions of Sanofi's Lantus, Novo Nordisk's Novolog and Eli Lilly and Co.'s
Humalog insulin products in the US by 2024. Civica said the insulin products
will cost no more than $30 per vial or $55 for a box of five pen cartridges,
compared with the average wholesale price of $300 per vial and $500 for five
pen cartridges.
